If you are aged between 12 and 25, Cara-Friend LGBTQIA+ Youth groups have something to offer! Our groups are run according to a peer-led ethos, where young LGBTQIA+ people are our volunteer leaders. This means that everyone from the other attendees to the leaders are all in the same situation as you – whether that means you are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, questioning or queer. The most important goal of Cara-Friend LGBTQIA+ Youth is for young people to be able to be themselves, however they may identify. The groups are safe spaces where everyone can relax, meet new people and, most importantly, have some fun!
Cara-Friend currently operates our own LGBTQIA+ youth service in Belfast which meets 3 evenings a week.
We also support a regional network of LGBTQIA+ inclusive youth services across Northern Ireland.
