If you are aged between 12 and 25, Cara-Friend LGBTQI+ Youth groups have something to offer! Our groups are run according to a peer-led ethos, where young LGBTQI+ people are our volunteer leaders. This means that everyone from the other attendees to the leaders are all in the same situation as you – whether that means you are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, questioning or queer. The most important goal of Cara-Friend LGBTQI+ Youth is for young people to be able to be themselves, however they may identify. The groups are safe spaces where everyone can relax, meet new people and, most importantly, have some fun!
Young people can attend by contacting the youth worker for that group to get involved. Each youth group has a specific contact person, so feel free to drop them a line if you wish. We also take referrals which can be arranged by simply emailing us at youthsupport@cara-friend.org.uk as well.
