Supporting LGBTQI+ People in Northern Ireland

If you are aged between 12 and 25, Cara-Friend LGBTQIA+ Youth will have something to offer! Our groups are run according to a peer-led ethos, where young LGBTQIA+ people are our volunteer leaders. This means that everyone from the other attendees to the leaders are all in the same situation as you – whether that means you are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, questioning or queer. The most important goal of Cara-Friend LGBTQIA+ Youth is for young people to be able to be themselves, however they might identify themselves. The groups are safe spaces where everyone can relax, meet new people and, most importantly, have some fun! There is a real community feel to our groups.

Young people can attend by simply turning up themselves on any evening the youth group is running. Each youth group has a specific contact person, so feel free to drop them a line if you wish. We also take referrals which can be arranged by simply emailing us as well.

Lesbian? Gay? Bisexual? Trans? Or Questioning?

We run several groups across Northern Ireland which are based on an inclusive, peer-led ethos, specifically for LGBTQIA+ young people, the details of which are listed below:

You’re more than welcome to come along to any of the groups, to bring a friend or just drop in and have a friendly chat!

If you have a query about any of our youth groups you can contact us via admin@cara-friend.org.uk
