Cara-Friend LGBTQI+ Youth regional groups aim to bring services and support for all LGBTQI+ youth out of the main urban centres and into the more rural areas to support young people who identify as LGBTQI+, or are questioning their sexual orientation and/or gender identity. It’s a safe space environment where young people can be themselves, and meet other people who are in the same situation as themselves.
Cara-Friend also offer other services regionally across Northern Ireland, including workshops and training for schools, youth clubs and other organisations working with young people. A list of those can be found on our Training and Workshops page. We also offer one-to-one support for young people struggling with their identity, regardless of where they are located in Northern Ireland. Contact Declan on declan.meehan@cara-friend.org.uk to arrange.
