In 2011 Cara-Friend and The Rainbow Project published the Education Rquality Curriculum Guide as part of the Education Equality Project, funded by the Tudor Trust. The aim of the project was to address the lack of presence and visibility of LGBTQI+ identities in the mainstream curriculum, thus contributing to the ‘normalisation’ of those identities.

The Guide includes lesson plans for teachers to use which embed LGBTQI+ inclusivity in the following subject areas: Art, Drama, Geography, History, Learning for Life and Work, Modern Languages, Music and Religious Education.
